Sub-Catagories For Postcards

Hi Everyone,

I am setting up categories for my store. And I'm running into problems with sub-categories. I know there are 30 max on categories. I'm assuming this includes subs.

Is there also a limit on how many sub-categories can go under a main category? Right now I am being limited to 10 subs. Is this normal?

Hi Kathy. This thread is asking admin to move postcards up a level. If you post your question on a new thread on the appropriate forum , I'm sure you'll get some feedback.

Gazza & Mark . Postcards are my third biggest seller after jewellery and books. EBID has some very good postcard sellers and could attract a lot more postcard buyers if you give this important category the promenance it deserves. Please could you reassure me that you are listening to your sellers here and that plans are in place to move postcards to a 2nd level category

Thanks, that's Ok as a temp quick fix. but postcards still remains a 3rd level sub category Below the 2nd level - with over 11,000 listings in that 3rd level category.

look at some of the other 2nd level categories in the Collectables section - every other 2nd level category has fewer entries than postcards. If the problem is to do with having to move items- how about moving the NON postcard items (of which there are 106) to a new category called 'paper and ephemera' and renaming the original category 'Postcards'. Then the 4th and 5th level categories could move up one ( i.e Collectables: Paper and ephemera: Postcards topographical:England: Essex would become Collectables: Postcards:Topographical: England: Essex )

I'm seeing admin adding & updating lots of categories recently- but postcards are still a third level category in a section with over 13000 entries! Please please move postcards up to it's own second level category under collectables
