Inspired by the Robbie thread posting, I just thought I'd point out that in November I am going to see the King of British Blues, John Mayall, play in Manchester with his Bluesbreakers. Also on the bill, former Fleetwood Mac label-mates Chicken Shack. British blues doesn't get much better than this!

John Mayall brings back wonderful memories for me, being in the Cavern in the 60s with all the groups playing their music. I hope you have a wonderful time I know I would .

The only trouble with a front row seat is you get neck ache looking up if it is a high stage. I shall be 7 rows back, right in the middle. Last time I saw John M I was right in front of the PA and couldnt hear anything for 2 days due to Buddy Whittingham turning up the volume. What a player he is - better than Clapton in my opinion. Where does JM get such good players from?
