Why do images of items on sale on Ebid do not appear on the image search on google........Is it outside influences...or are they not being submitted?

It may be that they are held on a drive which is not open to spidering?

You could be right but that is no good to sellers.......images on google seem to pick up all the Ebay details???

Look at it from a database point of view. If people were allowed to use normal names to describe pictures, each site would end up with thousands of images called mycar.jpg or kidsclothes.jpg. Renaming images using a numerical code means they can be directly linked to the auction of the same number as well as being stored in a database.

I accept that............BUT........how do Ebay do it.
If you look at the props it only gives a number not an image name............so there must be a pickup code in there somewhere

Actually, no. I've just spent the day in casualty at my local hospital. Had to go in by ambulance this morning with severe abdominal pains. Had a range of inconclusive tests, X-rays, blood tests and so on. Am now waiting for yet another scan next week. On the bright side, the pain has eased off so things are already looking up. Would be nice to know the cause though.
