Default Why not have proper shops

don't like the necessity of having to upload auctions to stock my shop. On EBAY shops I upload stock and it stays until sold.
I would be happy to do the same on EBID ie upload stock then pay a listing fee when each item is sold plus a beak wetter in commission .

I have listed under a dutch auction ...if one of my 8 items is sold does the remaining 7 get relisted or do I have to go through the whole relisting palaver again????

I really want to ditch EBAY and am prepared to move over tio EBID but I don't want more hassle than necessary. Why can't I just stock my shop with goods and pay you when they are sold??????

i wouldnt move fully to ebid from ebay till you fully grasp ebid im a ebayer to and just would advise you to understand ebid fully first alot of things are diff. including what happened to me sellers can delete auctions after the reserve is met and there are bids up till it ends and how the dutch auctions work i just thought id give you aheads up and with ebid i see its really hard to sell due to not enough buyers

OP..is a bit of a pain, I am from a shop there as well...I have found it useful to list on "first bid" that way the item stays there until bid on, but does not get closer to auction end time..so for and against, or just keep having it relisted automatically 10 days x 10 times =100 days exposed...Dave.

    Why not have proper shops
eBid Shops ARE proper shops just different.
    THIS IS EBID not feebay.

They are working to improve eBid all the time,
Gazza posted a list of some of the things they are working on, a while back, I'm sure there are more on the list now.

Some things we are working on at the moment
    #BuyNow only "auctions"
    #AAL mark as paid/unpaid changes
    #AAL "notes"
    #PayPal checkout
    #NoChex checkout
#Item SKU (sellers stock code for item)
#Cost Price (can work out profit per item)
    #Personalised Invoicing
    #Platinum access level
    #Spreadsheet upload automation
    #Category sponsorship
    #Email sponsorship
    #Featured Stores
    #eBid Stores browse page
    #Monthly Promotional emails
    #My Favourite Searches daily emails
    #Template translation mechanism
#Live auction page status messages for buyer and sellers
    Or check this thread
    http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=88716

This isn't to mention all the website functionality changes that we have in the pipeline, these are too numerous to mention but some will start to appear within the next few weeks, these changes aren't related to our new design and will be placed live once fully tested and deemed ready.

A lot of the suggestions left on this forum are acted on, in time, eBid are not a multi-national corporation with 1000's of employees & unlimited funds.

If eBid was just a clone of feebay there would be no point being here.

i wouldnt move fully to ebid from ebay till you fully grasp ebid im a ebayer to and just would advise you to understand ebid fully first alot of things are diff. including what happened to me sellers can delete auctions after the reserve is met and there are bids up till it ends and how the dutch auctions work i just thought id give you aheads up and with ebid i see its really hard to sell due to not enough buyers
Did you email support & ask about the auctions that were deleted?
You would have had the details in the emails sent to you. You didn't answer the other post when you were asked if the seller had a strikethru their name.
If their name had a strikethru then the auctions were probably removed by support.

Yes I agree as well, however when you think about it a lot of people like to go shopping, nip into online store and buy and it is that area that is going to expand hence this new EBAY push on their EBAY express.

Shops are the way to go with buy it now pricing. The comment that if EBID were a clone of EBAY there would be no point , however if it was a clone and 50% cheaper there WOULD be a point.

Take the best of EBAY, improve it where you can,.....but if it ain't broke....don't fix it.

I would love to have a simple buy it now storefront where I had the ability to increase or decrease stock levels, increase or decrease prices as I wished and simply pay a fee for each item sold. I would spend money to advertise a shop like that , which would bring in shoppers to other stores on EBID as well

We are working on getting this request working.

It is a little complicated because there are very different ramifications dependant on whether you are using

    a "normal" auction (1 item),
a "normal" auction with a buynow price (1 item),
    a "dutch" auction ( more than 1)
a "dutch" auction with a buynow price( more than 1)
a "buynow only" sale (1 item)
a "buynow only" sale ( more than 1 item)

Complicating the listing process is something we will not be doing so this will require a lot of thought.

If it was possible to increase the number of auto reposts, that may help some sellers who list large amounts of items like post cards, books, cds, stamps etc, anyhow bedtime, my eyes are hurting...

Well its great to see a response so quickly.

I'm great at ideas , slow on ramifications!.

I think a Buy it now option for more than one item with an openended closing date or until all items sold would be great, with an email warning you that your last item has just sold please relist.

I will post 70 items the weekend after its introduced
