How to convince a dark side seller to sell here?

I've just spotted an item I want to buy on the other side. I'd rather buy it here of course. Can anyone suggest what to say to the seller to convince them to sell the same item to me over here? I really want the item, so I don't want to annoy them in case they're an Eb*y die-hard or scare them off in case they're trying to think I'm pulling a fast one.

I'd buy the item on the dark side and then tell them about eBid. It may look like spamming otherwise.

Or you could ask them in a roundabout way if they are on ebid under a different user name & if they have the item for sale on here?
Might get their curiosity going, without being pestered to join.
