Whilst I didn't find hughie as offensive as bigus I did find his interminable postings a little irritating, since they seemed to invade every thread.

Can I sign up to the sad git group please? I loathed bigus and hughie and every other manifestation of the same individual. But then he loathes me.

IF he had genuinely been unable to type correctly then I could have lived with the endless typos but if the typo could be vulgar then you could bet your life it would be, so I don't believe there was a typing/spelling/education problem.

This forum was all but unusable while he was about. It was, as I have said many times, a bad advert for ebid.

I will freely admit to reporting him at every opportunity but he was not banned because of my reports because I've been away on holiday for a week.

Default What if... this was YOUR site?

Have just read this post and don't get involved often enough to notice who is or isn't here at any given time, but I did notice the news article bout the PR company being about to set loose their next press release. Perhaps it's them who are pointing out the bits on site that aren't suitable for casual passers by who have come here to see what the place is all about after reading the name in a newspaper or magazine?

I really don't see any harm in having forums for whatever reason, but the eBid forums do receive the exact same attention, if not more, than the actual auctions, unlike the 'other' site where members have to access them via the right channels. Easy solution to this would be to split the help forums from the general chatting forums and let members access the chatty day-to-day ones through the 'my eBid' section?

It's just a thought, but when you look at it from the point of view that this is your site (just pretend for a minute) and you are trying to get buyers and sellers to come here to help financially support the place (the forums don't) then would you be happy if this was the first place your new customers visited and read some of the nonsense that goes on in here? LOL

My 'really rubbish only got 81 votes' poll showed that people love the forums, so why not set aside the social 'networking' section somewhere that some unsuspecting, easily shocked wanderer can't accidentally land here before they find the main auction site?

OK, my exceptionally boring point of view has been posted, we can all go back to what we like doing best now... carrying on, regardless

PS: Many here probably class me as one of the 'sad gits', some of you here KNOW otherwise You all know who you are, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't give the game away, thank you

    Yours sincerely,
    Hughp.... only kidding!!

I like the idea of a split. A quick look at Alexa shows that an AWFUL lot of ebid's traffic is to the forums
