Buddy points?

Okay...I'm new and I did attempt to do some research [looked on appropriate thread] but not a lot of info there

This seems to be the busiest forum so can someone please explain this buddy points thing to me. I've made one purchase so far and my points thingy says 0.020.
Do you get points for every transaction automatically?
How do the scammers/non payers get their points?
Why don't the points go on AFTER payment (if the above is said case)
Why are they called 'buddy' points?

Ahhh I see..you get like supermarket loyalty points for transaction plus bonus's for getting other's to join. Thank you for that info Madeline, I had just looked at the forum rather than the other link for the info.
So the scammers could add other email scamming addresses and bump up their points that way...seems to be a flaw in that one..or did I read it wrong?

they could but they will have them taken away. Any transaction which is seen as about buddy point gains rather than a real trade doesn't count.

you gain buddy points from buying & selling also introducing new sign ups to ebid then when you reach 1 million ( ok i am joking ) you can buy stuff from ebid theres always some stuff on front page

copy and paste buddy link put it into forum signatures or into your email signature
