What is the landline phone number for?

Hi. I have been a member for a few days but my account has been put on hold just now.
eBid has requested landline phone number from me.
I dont have a phone number right now. I only have a handphone number.
What should I do?

Last time when i registered with eBay, I used my friend's house phone number and eBay phoned my friend and told him the verification code.

Is eBid doing the same thing? Phoning us and telling us the verification code?

Please help. Its urgent.

Ebid has much stricter anti fraud measures in place than ebay, if you've accidently entered an invalid tel number your account would be put under review automatically. I don't think giving a friends phone number as your own would be acceptable here, so if you don't have a land line number of your own. email support@ebid.tv to explain the situation.

Hi. Im a student from Malaysia and Im only here to study. I rent a house and stay here. The house doenst have a landline that s the problem.

Can I ask again what will eBid do with landline number? If they only want it to tell us the verification code, I want to use my friend's house number to do that.

Alright... i think i have to explain to support. Sigh... all of my listings suddenly canceled just because of the landline thing.
sigh.. time wasted, money wasted.
I m not even sure I can get the account back again in time to subscribe lifetime seller +...

If you contact support and explain, as long as you can prove who you are, and where you live there should not be a problem, after all would you like to trade with someone who cannot be traced?

If you are selling the same sort of items on here (which are nice by the way) The value of some of them are quite high £300+.

That could be why your account on here has come to the attention of ebid, as you have been advised on other threads, Ebid are a lot more sensitive to "possible fraud"

I am not suggesting that you are this type of person, as I can see from your 100% feedback over there, you have sold quite well in the 4 months that you have been on the other side.

If you get your status as a seller back, I would suggest quite strongly that you put in your all about me section something about your feedback over on the other side, but do not have a direct link this is a no no on here.

You may also consider offering a range of payment methods, something that the buyer can trust, after all the more options that you offer, the more interest you should get.
