I'm not sticking up for the seller in any way here hun but even with the cleanest of kitchens a fly can land & lay (scuze the terming lol) in a matter of seconds.
I sympathise completely with you though as I would be heaving if it happened to me
Cant remember who checked out the picture to a bigger one, but it was that poster who noticed the filth on the sellers walls . When I printed it out for enviro they were not at all pleased, and the seller had not registered with anyone to make & sell fudge from their premises even though on the listing they stated H&S registered.
not quite correct, I have bred maggots many times in the past for fishing in controlled environment outside and the fly will not lay eggs on the fresh meat/chicken/whatever.......they will only lay when it starts going "off" and stinky manky.....so in the cleanest of kitchens as you say, it should never happen.
Some days you're the windscreen..others you're the fly.'ave it!
I know it used to be common practice with Anglers to keep a couple of maggots under their tongue on a cold day. Maggots don't wriggle well when cold. I used to stick a charcoal hand warmer underneath the bait box to liven them up. If you've ever been to a bait factory you wouldn't want to have them any where near your mouth. The smell is disgusting. They do "clean" them in bran but yuk! It was bad enough baiting up then eating a sandwich. I used to partially unwrap the sarnie and hold it by the plastic bag.
...I always carry plenty of them antisepty, wipey thingeys and clean towel..........and the maggots in the mouth story, allthough true was misguided and completely pointless as when the maggot hits the cold water it was back to square one again....shivering
