You are not allowed to post contact details on ebid, so no. Are you sure you want users phoning you at all hours? Remember that ebid is international.

I didnt want contact details on it, just a button (like a certain other site) that allows customers to get in touch.

Oh well, if it cant be done, it cant be done

I'm glad I searched for this, but I am a tad disappointed that I can't add a 'Skype Me' button to my descriptions.

Skype lets people call me only when I'm online (and IM Chat), so it can be great.

I'm sure you're right there, the costs and regulations involved with running a communications company / platform must be considerable; but that doesn't detract from the practical benefits that users like myself can gain from their service

Apart from the privacy intrusion aspect there is also the fact that it is a product of another wel known & diiscredited website. It is bad enough having their payment system inflicted on us without their other scams as well!

We're not allowed to post contact information? Not even on the About Me page if we wanted to? It's actually a good business decision to post contact information because it helps potential buyers feel that the unknown seller actually is a real business, particularly if the contact information is for a long-standing B&M store.

Had an auction where buyer asked for a phone # to call. Even knowing that it would be made public through ASQ, I replied with the business #. He had to call to talk to me in person to convince himself that everything was legitimate since eBid is relatively unknown and I had 1 seller feedback for a throw-away watch. I ended up making the sale over the phone, sold through eBid, and it could not have happened without his calling me. It became positive selling feedback #2.

So I'm all for posting contact information for good reasons.

Business sellers have to. I was going to add my business address to my about me page before someone notices...

    Its the law aint it?

As far as I know yes you are correct, there maybe a misunderstanding here. I have read that e-mail addresses are stripped out of listings automatically, but I'm not sure what the situation is with phone numbers. Although as someone mentioned it would be un-advisable to list them.
