Default Switching from Free to Gallery

Once an auction is locked in as Free and later you decide you want it to be Gallery, is there any way to edit it over to Gallery without deleting it and starting again?

    Thanks,
    Chris

I don't know myself, but have you tried editing it?

I should imagine if you click on edit auction then click on gallery picture then on save that should do the trick................I think. Oh and you don't have to delete it, if you do have to take it off you can just close it and it won't be lost completely so you can start again. If I'm wrong someone will soon tell us but I don't think I'm far off.

    OP.

    I will clarify for you.

If you have a free auction running, that auction can not be changed to gallery.

The only way to do things is by using the "list simular" function. You will be able to have a carbon copy of the one you want but instead of free you choose gallery.

Then when the gallery auction is listed, you need to delete the free auction, quickly, otherwise the sites software will delete both. (the reason for this is that you cannot have multiple listings with the same name)

I hope this clears up the problem for you.

raindropsies2 - thank you for a straight answer to my question.

Xaos -- your quick comments are usually less than helpful. Yes I had tried editing but could not see a way to do what I wanted to -- That is why I asked the question.

I'm glad you tried, if you had told us that you had tried then we would have been forewarned - please don't pretend to judge me, we know little of each other.

Minx and I may have been less helpful that raindrops, but you've got your answer and we've *all* learned from raindrops knowledge, it's all win win to me.

Glad to have been of help to everyone with this question.

I am still learning myself, it's just that I spend on average 18 hours a day on eBid at the moment, getting to know all the ins and outs.

I sometimes come across problems, so I have to ask now and again, so my theory is, if you don't ask, you don't get.

I just wonder if the other place would have ever been as friendly as this site?
