NO seller can post negative feedback anymore, not just the UK. There is no justice there, unless we can make eBid so successful that they feel the loss of sales from the 1000s of us who are now here!

UNBE-FUBAR-LIEVABLE!!! Ebay isn't content with shooting itself in the foot. It's now blown away both feet and its knees as well.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned elsewhere, but I've just spotted this on the eBay forums and I'm in total shock, like wandering around after a train wreck. How can they be so utterly brain dead as to pile on stupidity after stupidity?

Actually I do have a theory -- Gazza and Mark slipped a high-level mole into eBay to bring in terminally destructive policy changes! Well done, guys!

I think the poster on that thread hit the nail on the head :-

Richard I think you may lose MORE THAN A FEW SELLERS with this Draconian action. I know of at least TEN who no longer list in my area alone. Its all about freedom of choice and the British hate being told what to do especially if it costs them money. Free Pay Pal could work but even then you will have to make sure that fewer mistakes are made. The sellers are e Bays life blood and you are simply making it too expensive for small sellers to be bothered to list..
Basically though, their train set , so its up to them if they run their loco into the buffers.

im waiting to find another neg or nuatral added to my feedback over there!...Ihad a non paying buyer a few weeks ago, whom hasnt responded at all to my emails ....but still has the privillage of being able to leave me feedback....
iv been reading group posts ect over there, regarding whats happening, and it just seems to be getting worste, with sellers being suspended left right and center..its crazy....The most crazy thing though, and totally frustrating thing is that so many sellers ..little sellers, like i was,are burying their heads in the sand....

Urm, is that good news ?

That ruling could eventually impact on ALL auction sites EU wide. It seems like a mega slippery slope to tons more rules and regs everywhere.

Previously auction sites have been treated as merely a venue (like a car boot sale (etc)). Sounds to me like another nail in the coffin for small personal traders if all sellers have to take on the mantel of professional distance sellers - which auctions sites could now insist on to protect themselves and throw the onus back onto the seller.

But don't give up. I can't recall an occasion when I had anything but a cut-n-paste irrelevant response first time around from ebay support (what a contrast with ebid support, by the way). If you persist, sometimes after 4 or 5 interchanges, each time with a different 'droid, you may be lucky.
I have emailed over a dozen times to every venue over & over. I had dropped it a while back when it was originzally posted, but after the feedback changes I re-opened my complaint with probably 6- 8 emails again so far, to no avail. The last ludicrous response was they legally can take no action! I still say: only the empty pocketbook will destroy ebay!
