I signed up as a seller+ ($49). I received a bill from ebid for $2.00 after listing two items. What is this for? Have I misunderstood something?

Hello Ladywas, you used the Featured Auction option when you listed your items, best thing now is to alter your listings so they do not auto repost, and when listing other items use Free Auction or the Gallery option(2% fvf if sold) The floating Widget that appears will show the type of aution before you submit.
You could email eBid support and explain the mistake, they may be able to help further.

You can change the defaults by going into 'my eBid' and then 'my Defaults' - so that you can ensure that your defaults are not 'Featured Listings'.

Or you could ensure you take care to read the options that you select or leave selected as you create your listings.

Go to My defaults and click on free then you will have to change it if you decide you want extras but won't be surprised with more charges. I think this has happened to almost everyone when they first start listing.

I already email Ebid customer care to explain what the fee was for. I haven't heard back from then yet.

Thanks for responding. I have been having a weird problem with this site, Yesterday I couldn't access anything kept getting a dababase error. Seems ok for today so...........

Well, as you've found, checking on the forums can answer questions for you on the same day! eBid support work very hard; I contacted them today about a dodgy seller, and I got a reply very quickly, but as you can imagine, they have to prioritise their workload.

There have been some site problems, but hey, I was on another auction site yesterday too, and it went 'down' for an hour - it happens, it's the web.
