Thread: Stingy sellers needless NOCHEX charge

  1. #1

Default Stingy sellers needless NOCHEX charge

why oh why do some sellers insist on asking for the additional 99p deposit charge in their auctions, surely the buyer has just as much right to ask for the 99p loading charge!

They should just save up more payments before depositing their money like the rest of us!

Ooooooh! it makes me MAD. :x

i use nochex and dont charge anything nor will i buy off someone that did. At least this way you get your money straight away without the risk of the postal service or cheques bouncing.
    You can't scare me I'm a mother

It's no scam - I found out the hard way as did others

I changed my Nochex a/c to a sellers a/c sadly
1- Not allowed to buy from my £54 in a/c & had to
    upload from bank (99p)
2- You can only buy with money you get as a seller after sign-up
    3- Asked about £54 & was told i could'nt use it unless i switched a/c
    back to normal one again

So once again another Outfit is penalising the sellers again
They are knocking those registered as sellers 99p & more to do biz

You dont find out about any of this till after you swap a/c

So get the facts right before you call it a Scam

By the way i still don't charge anything to buyer :!:

I have used Nochex for years and have never had any bother - maybe just very lucky!
If only more people would use it rather than their expensive rival Paypal - can anyone give me a good reason why :?: 8)

I read about this fact on the nochex site. It's all there in the help section somewhere. I think it's stupid though, do they give any reason why you can't access the money?

As for sellers charging 99p, that's just greedy.

I think we are signed up for pretty much every common payment method, but much prefer nochex - it's nice and simple. The only one we charge extra for is paypal, though have just signed up for moneybookers, and and requested a merchant account - might have to put a %age on that (as it's up to 8% charge to receive from unverified credit cards) but there are no chargebacks, they say, so sounds safer than paypal. (which for low value transactions is a lot more expensive if you factor in the fixed charges on top of their 4%)

At the end of the day, I feel it's best to give people the maximum number of options; I try not to charge extra unless it's to actually discourage use of a service ...

And people can always post me a cheque, postal order, cash, and I will happilly accept postage stamps, too. (and cheaper than posting a pile of £ coins, as one bidder did ! )

Reason given for not being able to spend my own money
Quote:You can only buy with money you have received by selling

I told them that my money they held was all from sales & they Replied:
They didnt know that as i had not been a registered seller #-o I told them
to check their records but they said any prior trans, was irrelevant ](*,)
When i asked about my £54 they said:Only way to use it is Transfer your
a/c back or withdraw it to your bank, which i did & they kindly charged me
another £1.98 for doing it :-s

So the Moral is: These Outfits are ok as long as you dont have any probs
But when you do they all treat us like a lump of sh... [-X

Whats the difference between a sellers account and a normal one ?

I've used Nochex for a while, and have had payments in and out and had no problems. Perhaps I've got sellers account and didn't realise ?
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.
