WHEN will we have a shipping calculator?

Hi!
Does anyone know when we will have a shipping calculator within our listings (like the "other" site)? I think we could all sell more, if potential customers know the exact cost to their country or zipcode. Here in the U.S. we have 8 different shipping zones with each one having a different shipping cost. This would be so helpful for eBid to compete for the online business out there.

What site are you referring to? Maybe it's different there, but we always had a shipping calculator in the U.S. site for every zip or country to see their costs. I've sold on ebay since 2003 & it was always available within our listings. It is such a valuable tool!

I never knew that. I just assumed we all had calculators on ebay. Because of the 8 zones here, it's so important to give a potential buyer the correct shipping cost. Do you think we'll have a shipping calculator within our listings for both the UK, the U.S. & all other countries soon? That promise was one of the reasons I decided to come to eBid. Without it, I really won't be able to sell my heavier items as people don't like to take the time to email for shipping costs & then wait for a reply. I may need to start looking elsewhere to sell, if there's not going to be a calculator.

I share your pain, and as you now know, the calculator will be here shortly! For those unaware of the USPS, in addition to the 8 different mailing zones, each with their own cost, there is also a variable cost associated with the delivery method--express mail to "pony express" (I think there are about a dozen different services) and the WEIGHT of the parcel in ounces AND pounds! And THEN there are EXTRA costs for Signature Confirmation, Delivery Confirmation, and Insurance!!! Oh, and lets not forget about sending things to the military stationed wherever, and of course, regular international destinations!

THIS is why so many of us sellers are in need of a shipping calculator, and why we've been whining so much about it!

WONDERFUL! Oh, THAT is such great news! I'm sure there are many other sellers who will also add 100s of listings, too, on eBid as soon as we can give potential buyers exact costs. I really wanted to stay here as it's such a pleasant place. I've been working hard, contacting all my former customers & letting them know that I'm on eBid. You made my day!
