actually by typing in ebay if you look at the left hand side you have adverts for that site , therefore you are now driving customers away from here as they may click those links , so if your selling whats the point in helping them when you need that traffic here

I did make a second post that explained my thinking almost immediately after the one you responded to.

But it was removed.

You have previously stated that the 'other' site's name isn't grounds for a post being removed - however, no other part of my post could possibly have offended.

I will therefore have to assume that the very rule the 'other' site is mocked for is implemented on this one, and that posts on either site can be removed for that faux pas alone.

I have no problem with that - I just don't understand why folk don't just admit it.

i never knew a post had been deleted and have never heard of one deleted due to saying ebay ,
i suppose it`s just courteous to the site owners not to keep mentioning them but use other words in place to save on advertising them

i can be civil when people are civil to me but i won`t be pushed around or pounced on by anyone ,
we are all here for the same reason , we should all be helping each other with this site , i still go on q&a mostly to read , but i don`t usually put things up on here from over there and visa versa
