    Unhappy Lost parcel!

I can't believe it - another lost parcel only just reported after 7 weeks!! Why do people take so long?? That's 2 in 4 days!!
I only keeo the COP for approx a month, surely by then the buyer must realise their parcel hasn't arrived!? WHat am I supposed to do after 7 weeks? I feel really bad but can't afford to keep refunding people after this amount of time, that finally bother to tell me their parcel hasn't arrived.
Royal Mail have a lot to answer for!

I find it hard to believe that peeps would wait 7 weeks before contacting a seller ?? put on your listings that if it hasnt arrived within a certain timeframe ..they MUST contact you..as they should have recievd parcel by then...

It's a nightmare - don't have any receipts after this time, but I have advised them to claim their end; will wait to see what they say.
As you say ejean9 I will have to ammend my listings to include a time frame - this is ridiculous! I'm bound to get another as well as things tend to always go in threes!!??

It is really shocking that people do these kind of things..but you cant be held responsible after 7 weeks..i shouldnt think...it would be reasonable to expect someone to contact a seller after 1 week..never mind 7..

I tend to assume things have arrived within 2 weeks if I haven't heard anything, and as a buyer I make contact after a week to find out if it's been posted. 7 weeks? I think they are taken the michael....

I had a customer a couple of weeks ago saying she had not received her parcel from May.
She insisted that it had not been received by her and that I should put a claim in against Royal Mail asap.
Where she has been all summer I do not know.
Then she got very nasty when I informed her that she had never paid for the item.
    It takes all sorts.

This seems like a good place to remind people that publishing your returns and refunds policy is a good idea - if you don't say what your policy is, the customer's rights default to "very generous"! eBid doesn't have a specific area for your policy, so add it to your listings, or add a reference to where it can be found. It needs to be readily available to protect you.
