Unfortunately having read that message from Mark (link provided by Goth above) then we're pretty soon not going to be able to see the wood for the trees.

Goth - I take your point about the US - I hadn't realised that e-Bid suffers from such a low self esteem within that market. Offering free lifetime membership with the possibilty of never paying a penny in fees ever again was clearly not enough.

Guess we can kiss goodbye to undistorted and reliable e-bid feedback.
They made the same offer when Yahoo UK & Ireland closed, there are also some members who had feebay feedback imported before feebay set their lawyers on them.

Surely you don't just look at the feedback number?
It's easy enough to spot imported feedback.

As I said I'd prefer only eBid feedback to count, but I understand the reasons why the Guy's make these offers.

Goth we'll have to agree to differ (slightly) here.

Maybe I SHOULD be able to rely on the feedback number alone.....e-Bid is a site where its systems should allow that a plus means a plus.

But with this offer ....and others made before I grant....they've sold their soul a little in my opinion......the free entry should have been enough.

But, it's their site at the end of the day. Just like on £b*y I won't bother too much about feedback anymore it's not always what it's cracked up to be when a few hundred + can be shipped in over night from all and sundry.

Don't know if anyone wants or knows of these sites. but here they are for your discussion. There is quite a bit of useful info and there are also EBID ads.

    Hi mark,
I have uploaded a screen shot of my eBay feedback in jpeg. If this one is not suitable let me know.

Hi! Obviously, those of us trying to escape "the other site" would at least like potential buyers to feel confident buying from us. My question about the above links to show our feedback on eBid is:1) How can this be put in each new eBid listing? 2) Exactly how does it get there, if you're not knowledgeable about this kind of thing? Could you please give basic instructions that I mightfollow? Thanks, Linda

Why? If you read the post from Mark that you quoted it said:

The boys have been threatened with legal action from ebay if they import feedback, so it's not possible. If you read the ebay user agreement they own your feedback, you just earned it.

Halbolize I would recommend you delete your post as it's stretching the thread.
If you have a screenshot of feedback from a site which is eligible (not feebay) then rather than post it on the poublic forum, you should send it to ebid as requested

Smile No need for importing feedback

    Hi everyone,

there is no need for us newbies to import our feedback from elsewhere. If we use the same user name on other sites, which I asume most do, then potential buyers more than likely look at those sites as well. I have amassed nearly 3500 with 100% rating elsewhere but I am happy to build my feedback here on eBid from scratch. Currently stands at 2+ with 3 more sales since.

Keep on listing & keep on selling

    Cheers Mel

I wouldn't consider importing feedback from anywhere to here. I was perfectly happy to start of with 0 feedback, and use repatoo to link my activities here to my buying & selling activities on another site. I did this to give buyers and sellers peace of mind. To import feedback from anywhere would be to my mind - unethical.
