    Angry Selling rules?

I bought an ipod from a seller. There was no indication in the listing that the item was coming from abroad. During communication about non delivery I was told the item was in customs. Is it against ebid rules to list an item not yet in your posession? I'm a defecter from ebay but having now waited a WHOLE MONTH for my item because the wrong one was sent (and the replacement is probably stuck in cusoms too), I'm really not encouraged to continue using ebid!

I m not aware that it is against any specific eBid rule. People everywhere sell items that they do not hold in stock.

Any problems you are having are with the seller and not with eBid so why blame eBid?

The seller should have told you how long it would take for delivery.

    Is this the one?

    Hi Doodly

As everyone else has said, it's not ebid's fault that you haven't received your ipod, it's the sellers, and feebay has the same things happening over there all the time.
You say you've waited nearly a month. How did you pay? if you paid by paypal you should put a claim in, for item not received as soon as you can, so you can get your money back.

    Good luck

So you go into a shopping centre, buy an item, it is on home delivery only, so you have to wait, they send you the item, it's the wrong one so you send it back and they replace it.

Who's fault is it? The shop or the mall which is a facililty for the shop, or is it the shipping companies fault, which then becomes the shops fault because the shop use the shipping company, but then hold on, it cannot be the shops fault because if the mall was not there the shop wouldn't have been also,

I do feel fo you for having a bad experiance, and the seller should of made it crystal clear that it was being drop shipped, but no way is it eBids fault for just being a venue.

Just another point, if you buy something that is being dropped shipped, who is responsible for any custom fees?

The difference is that eBid does not claim to be just a venue and then start dictating how a sale should be made, how you must accept payment, how much you are allowed to charge for postage, how the item must be packed, what terms you are allowed to have, what feedback you are allowed to leave, etc. etc.

Judging by your negative posts so far I doubt you will be staying around long enough to discover what a refreshing change eBid is.
