Thread: Listings, leave as they are or send them away

  1. #1

Default Listings, leave as they are or send them away

    on holiday?

Ok I will not be on eBid from 24th (about 11pm) until Jan 2nd (ish)

Would you leave listings as they are with a notice, or send listings on a holiday as well so no one can bid/buy?

This is what my planned NON-Holiday notice will say

We would like to thank all of our previous customers for their orders. We would also like to wish you a merry Christmas & happy new year. We will be back on January 2nd 2009 to process any orders that are placed over the holiday period. Sarah & Paul

How do you do a holiday message?

Sarah I would be inclined to leave them running as it's only just over a week and the post office is closed part of that time anyway. If it was stretching to two weeks then I would put them on the holiday setting. I'm away just for a couple of days after Christmas and have put up a notice plus done one on my about me page too.

I had holiday settings for 2 weeks and I got questions asking why they could not bid even though I also had notice, people do not read the notices, they are just not prominent enough
