I was 20 when I had my son and 25 when I had my daughter. Both OH and I are happy with the timing as we are still 'young' enough to do things we want, but probably wouldn't have the energy required to look after children

I had 3 children, first at aged 19 a little girl but she only lived for 2 weeks, I had another daughter at 21 and a son at 23, i became a granny twice last year a girl and a boy, love them all to peices, would not have had it any other way, (with the exception of my first daughter).

I've got two boys (20 & 17) the first one I had at 27 and the second at 30. I'm not (as far as I know ) a grandmother yet!
I'm glad I had them slightly later as it didn't mean having such a financial struggle and meant that we could get by with me just working part time to fit my hours around them when they were young.

They are so different in personality though. The youngest has a very hectic social life and I know will be keen to go off to university while the oldest is quite happy, as a computer nerd, to work locally and I'm sure will still be sitting on my sofa when I get my telegram from King Charles or William !!!

Luckily they both get on really well together and I've never had any fights or upsets between them even when they were little. I wouldn't change a thing.

Life is serious but taking it too seriously robs you of
    happiness, fun and productivity

I had my son at 22 and my daughter at 26.
I now have a 3 &1/2 year old grandson from my son, and a 3 year old grandaughter by my daughter. I'm so glad i had the kids young, because now i'm not too old to enjoy my grandchildren, whom i adore. Plus we are still young enough to enjoy our lives.
