How have you promoted eBid today??????

Hi all how have you all promoted ebid today?
Myself i have printed up some flyers pomoting not only my shop but the site and have placed them in some of the local shops.
One of which was a computer shop and by the time i had left all 3 of the guys in there were looking through auctions on here.lol

What do you mean you have'nt done any promoting??
oh you have no idea how and where to start i hear you say well here is a few way to do some promoting (please feel free to add)

First off there is google base.
now eBid list most auction and google i think 3 times a month but if your like me an listing things like mad everyday then you may want to do this manually.
1st off go to google and open an account this is free. Then look for the links for google base this is again free.
next go to your my eBid page and down the left hand side of the page under selling click on auctions i'm running now look at the top line of your list on the right hand side it will say EXPORT LISTINGS click this and it will bring up a little box which says in it eBid bulk format and google base format.
Click the one google base format, this will then bring up another box choose the save option and this will download a small file to your hard drive.
now all you have to do is follow the instructions on google base and cut and paste your file into google base and there you go all of your fixed price auction are on one of the best serch engines in the world.

Next off would be chat rooms and forums. Now on the internet there is a chat room or forum about everything.
so all you have to do is find some that talk about your items, get on these and promote yourself and eBid even set up a signature with a link back to here. this again is free and can be fun to do aswell.
going with this if you are part of a socal network site (eg facebook,myspace etc) why not put link on your page back to here or even start a we love eBid group or eBid it's much better than eBay.

Another good promoting thingus would be to print out some flyers with the eBid logo on it and get them put up all over the place.
Also if you still sell on the other side or the big river put them in the envelopes for items sold on these.

Or if you have a little cash to spend on pomoting why not get a add put in your local paper or trade mag.

now there a few idea for you please feel free to add, let us know what works for you.

I Promote eBid 24 hours a day through my 2 websites in my sig. plus advertise my store on craft forums and also through local colleges.

Well, my other self, Georgia Caerndow, has just spent an enjoyable half hour talking to a gentleman in the eBid Mall in Second life. He originally thought it was only for people from the UK, but I've corrected that impression and given him a few links to look at

Use similar methods here too...use my Squidoo Lens, Facebook, Twitter, signatures etc...Always on the look out for more idea's though...
