I considered that as a comedy line, but decided it might come back to haunt me later.

Plus if you have greater needs you can have additional stores at 1.99 GBP per month. I would expect it to be very unusual for anyone to require that. The 'free' store shelf space is very generous.

With regard to the total number of categories being so large, over 5 Stores it is, but you can hardly use a spare category from say a DVD-selling Store in a Postcard one can you? Thus the limit is essentially 30 top-level categories each with 15 sub-categories.

As I said its possible to get [for example UK counties] into categories within a Store by using Counties A-F etc but it takes up four categories thus eating into the limited number available [LOL].

And yes, £1.99 for more stores is another option (though I'd do what Maplegin / Somersethedge has done and use another UserName with a one-off fee) but again it doesn't avoid the problem you may have if you need more categories in a particular store.

And just for the record, my original post wasn't meant as 'dissing' the site but as an enquiry about adding functionality that might be useful/desirable (or not as others may feel).

And thank you to the poster that mentioned the 'filtering by store' within the account summary - I didn't know that and its useful! [But so would be a go-to page link at the TOP of the account summary to avoid needlessly scrolling to the bottom IMO]

Is this a problem that is current or just one that you are anticipating?

Looking at your three current stores there are none that appear to be any way near pushing the limits.

You still have two unused stores in hand so even if you did hit the limit in one store there should be a logical split you could make to divide one store in to two stores.

we are two different people and had to give ebid proof that we were before they would allow us a second account.... if you just open a second account without their say so you will be struck out on both accounts... unlike "else where" it is very hard to have more than one account on here
