Bet you don't know what a "vide greniers" is either - translates as "empty lofts" - same as a "car boot sale" although doesn't usually involve a car boot!! A way of life here in the summer.

and IF I can't be bothered to stay home and list

Or IF no one else is on the Kitchen Table

Not been to a car boot for years.
We still have a "Sunday market" about 3 miles from here. Datesback to the days when there was no Sunday trading and one had to be a "member" with an annual renewal (something like 20p a year). I've been here for over 25 years now and some of the original traders from way back then are still there. We still go for a wander around there about once every 6 to 8 weeks. Good place for veggies, garden plants and clothing/shoes.

    Funny you saying that.
The last few carboots I went to in MK and Tingewick seemed more like market stalls - new, ultra cheap items, 2nd hand books, clothes, but no bric a brac to be found anywhere.
Have you ever been to the one in the Bowl at MK - a total waste of time in my opinion.

Agree. The Tingewick carboot is more like a "market" instead of a car boot. Same applies to all the other carboots I can think of around here.
