eBid keyword search problem?

note: i do not intend to sell my item through this post but feel it should come to this board.

i have listed a Bosch drill using title "Bosch 10.8 GWI 10.8V -Li Angle Driver Screwdriver 2BATT" .

i expect it will come up on the search result if i search "Bosch 10.8" but it came up 0 result when i did that (please see the attached picture).But if i just search for "Bosch" then i does come up in the results. Is this a problem with the search??

Search doesn't seem to like the full stop.
Seek "bosche 10 angle" and it'll find it, but look for "bosche 10.8 angle" and it won't.

I think this is connected to the problem I touched on the other day of eBid, in places, taking it upon itself to insert a space after a full stop. Presumably on the assumption that a full stop marks the end of a sentence and should be followed by a space.

If you search on "BOSCH 10.8" - no results.
Search on "BOSCH 10. 8" - and you get the hits.

So somewhere within the bowels of eBid it is encoding the 10.8 with a space inserted. This is what the search engine is looking at.

it's really a big problem as many people will put in full stop in the search.

Even if they have, I think you should put in your own support call - if it's not the first it will reinforce the importance of the fix.

i have just sent a email to ebid support hopefully they will get this fixed.

...but the users don't normally put space after full stop. That's the main problem it cause really, as people will just think there isn't any available for the things they have just searched for.

as i have said i sent a email to support team. Guess what they have replied quickly and it will be fixed in the coming weeks!! see attached picture.
