Your Store in Your signature

can any one advise me on what i did wrong I put my link on a message page to my store, the message page was to advertise your store here so I did my store link and got an infraction notice and 1 point but I now am worried about putting my link under a message but other people seem to do this ok?

well here is an experiment , thanks to kimbo and her banner info , really easy to follow thank you ,i hope this is acceptable , when i write a message my link comes up right, and I wont get told off I hope
