The path of this storm changed & now including NYC, Long Island, NJ, & Virgiia Beach. Storm's path can change again, never know. NYC indicated they will wait until Friday to determine how to call things. Will be interesting what they decide to do, as New Yorkers tend to be laid back about alot of things. I do know my plans have not changed, but I also plan to stay informed of any developments. Hype never changes the course of a storm (only mother nature & prayer)..

New York City need only Category 2 or 3 and is in big trouble…Category 4 or 5 is total destruction because where New York is located…too much risk to build that much very close to the waters you can build in the past a 100 years but if only one big come is going to send you back a 100 years…We in here have every year I mean every year in Hurricane season possibility for only one big to come and doesn’t matter where is going to go will destroy everything…Well too much risk for me to live close to the beach to wait every year posibillity my home will gone...if is season every 15 to 20 years I can handle that risk but every year is way too much risk for me....We have Tornados but posibillity is very small to come one big in mayor city even in 20 years I mean direct hit, but as can I see all beaches all the way to New England is full and almost in every place populations is like in small mayor city...and Hurricanes can come every single year is just way too much risk for me to wait and if is struck build my place again and wait again next years for posibillity for same stuff and over again...and over again....and over again...

I have no chocchies but I have water and snacks. Just came into NYC early this am. Think it is the quiet before the storm. Left one evacuation point (Atlantic City) and entered another (NYC). Moved on for other parts as planned. Will be watching developments close & doing what is needed.

burgyeb, Looks like you're right in the path of the storm. My daughter is in Lakewood, NJ and since she was raised in Florida she has gone through hurricanes before. She's very scared of this one, as am I. I hope NJ and the other NE states don't get slammed too hard.
