    I 'm all in favour of this. A recent search - price lowest first - found me trawling through 4 pages before I gave up. Then I tried distance nearest which helped a bit but not enough to keep me going for more than a couple more pages. Perhaps this could be an option instead of " start time most recent" as surely that is more or less the same as " time remaining low-high ( or vice-versa)?

    I guess the problem is that the guys who run the site aren't smart enough to figure out how to do it!

    See what I did there? Reverse psychology?

    Surprising really, 'cos they do a lot of other smart things!

    It would only be the same if everything ran for the same length of time, which is clearly not the case. I see no reason to do away with a useful option to justify adding another useful one! With the proviso that what is really mean is price inclusive of postage.

    I do believe all option are useful, except:

    Auction Title Low --> High
    Auction Title High --> Low

    Those are extremely useful especially for lookers & sellers of collectibles.. coins, paper money, sports cards.
    Most are listed with the Year as the beginning of the auction title line.. sorting is the way to go.

    You are absolutely right! Collectors look for very specific keywords applicable to the kind of item. These sorts are essential.

    I was thinking about best match, the category with the most items showing first is the way to go.
