I Sold a book, but didn't get a notification from Ebid? Should I have.

I've just made my first real sale on this site, been here for ages. Sold to the U.S.A. a very large book, I'd only listed for U.K. shipment. Buyer contacted me and asked if I could change it so she could bid. Entered the postage and hey presto. I got a Paypal email, but nothing from EBID.

I'm assuming I should, so now I'm worried, as with so few sales, I've not been checking my account, although I haven't missed anything so far, but I'm curious.

Do you use hotmail email? There have been several posts in the forums lately about hotmail marking ebid as a spammer and refusing to let their mails through.

No my email is btinternet.com - Normally my spam comes through, either straight to the junk bin or with contents deleted.

I just thought it was strange and wondered if I should actually get a message.

Yes you should relist one of your items and see if you get a mail for it.

Ive had a problem myself but im on hotmail , had to change my e/mail and have it sent to hotmail and its now all ok.

Hi Booksgoneby, You also said that you were worried that you might have missed some sales. You can see everything you have sold by going to your ‘My eBid’ page and clicking on the ‘Sold’ tab. Tony

If am reading correctly, you originally listed the item only for sale in ebid uk?

I was under the impression that if we listed items only for sale in the UK, then they wouldnt appear on ebid usa or ebid sites in other countries?

Or have I misunderstood something somewhere?

any buyer can search another ebid country and ask a question via the auction if the seller agrees the item can be "allowed " for that country and the shipping added, i sold to the USA via this method last night and got the confirmation email straight away.

I've also had a bid on an auction still not received a notification of this.
I don't always look at my ebid, firstly because I have a mother with dementia
and secondly because I hardly make sales on this site.
If it hadn't been for Paypal !!! What then ?????
What do I need to do to get these notifications. I reviewed my box last time I had this problem and can't see what I've not done????

If you've already checked your options, email support@ebid.net with as much detail as possible and they can track what they think has been sent, and may have error messages your email bounced back or something.
