P.S. I advice you if rates go up you can always deliver your items door to door with you own hands...it is much cheaper...right..?......
    Well what can I say?
Books IMHO have had it So I'm dumping them for whatever I can get.
I don't know how I will dispose of them yet. <offers invited> but I will probably keep a very small personal selection of my own tastes.
I haven't decided yet whether to sell wholesale online or to attend a local market and sell em at knockdown prices.

    It's a hard call.

BTW I have many, many books I never even listed <too busy buying and reading an not listing> so I probably have over 600!

I've boxed em and my hallway is chocca!

I still love books but sadley they aint selling!

Pink, that sucks. I sympathize, as I, too am a big reader, wish I had more $$$, I'd clean you out.

I love to buy and read books, it's the parting with them part I have problems with.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Exactly. They had to stop at some point, and I think this is appropriate.

I remember a post about some prize for the listing that hit a mile stone target, money is always a great thing to win also for a site like eBid, if any of the folk at HQ had the time (and cash to use) they could look at one or two of those promotions like a £1000 or £2000 or even £3000 of free shopping (its vouchers to spend sort of thing) at Sainsburys, Tesco,Lidl, Aldi, Wallmart or some large online sort of company, or maybe not it was just a passing thought after pondering the price of extra mature Chedder, anyhow I gotta go see what happens after blowing the robot up on Google search.

Nice, Google do make some good stuff.

My Dad loves history books. My Nana loves reading crime novels.
I don't read many books at all.
But sales of books will go down slowly and steadily due as Dzambo says to weight, ebooks, tv, internet etc.
And competetion (books are one of the easiest thing to sell on auctiuon istes and every house has soem they want to get rid of), ebid has a very large % of its listings as books, so that means there is lots of competetion.

But I think there will always be a market for good non fiction books and rare books.
Nothing lasts for ever - records, horse and cart, cassettes, parchment, pen and ink.

On the news tonight they said that it is believed that less than 1 person in 4 has read a book in the past 12 months.

    I gotta admit - I havent!

Wow, that is sad, but it's likely the same over here. I read a book or two every few days - now if I could only remember half of what I read, I'd be golden.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

A Kindle is of no use when you are sat reading while on the toilet and find the toilet roll empty. Progress????
