What I want is buyers. Ebay provides them, ebid doesn't. The selling fees maybe higher and it would be good if ebid was some competition, but I would rather pay for my things to sell than to potentially pay less, for the chance that something may sell here once in a while,

That is correct. You have to do the work your self if you use eBid as a selling platform.

Just a thought but the time spent complaining here, you could have posted links to your auctions on various sites and perhaps got some of those potential sellers to have a look at your wares,

you get what you put into it,if your not willing to do some leg work and only sit back and wait for sales well you know the place for that and the fees that go along with it,you cannot have the best of both worlds, either get acquainted with the way things work here in regards to draw attention to your items, check out the help section even ask for help but nobody here is going to tell you to just sit back and sales will role in,we all have to work for our sales and when we make them we keep the money so really in a sellers best interest to do everything they can to promote themselves here as whatever you make you keep if you opt for no gallery

I do realize it is a big difference changing over and getting adjusted to the ways things work here vs other places,it is just getting over the mindset that simply listing an item means it will sell, advertise your items offer international shipping put some auctions and bin for 10 days with relists of 7-10 days so they get brought to the top of the search, many ways to do it,believe it or not most sellers on here do not ONLY use this site as a social network,we chat about things after we have gotten some work done,we offer to help anyway we can and we do sell items be it from old buyers or new ones brought in from means of advertising and promoting our items on different arenas

Best of luck to you whatever way you choose to go,I do hope you can stick it out here, find your way so to speak, the right way for you to create sales and maybe your outlook will be different, but you,as stated numerous times have to get the work in to get anything out

We'd all like to be able to list on ebid, then it sells in a few days.
But life is not that easy.

Imho it is best to support sites such as ebid otherwise ebay will keep putting up their fees and screwing small sellers.

And list good stuff at fair prices.
And buy from ebid when you can.
