Crazy Idea But It Worked

Just recently, I had a mix of auto, truck, and motorcycle brochures go off on eBay and a lot of them did not sell. About a day later, I get this email from somebody saying that he wanted to buy an item that went off which he forgot to bid on. So I said no problem, I will just relist on eBay for him. Then, I realized that this particular item had been listed here on eBid. Consequently, I emailed him a second time and told him it had been listed on eBid and asked if he was interested in buying it through eBid instead of eBay. He then proceeded without anymore direction and signed up on eBid specifically just to buy the item which had been on eBay. While this may seem trivial to some this is my first offical sale on eBid and I could not be any happier. Thanks to all you who have given me tips so far and to those who will be a great help in the future.

Sometimes it works. I have been told in the past that if it wasn't on e..y no sale. So they had to pay more

That's my kind of buyer, OP! With collectable but obscure items like yours, this is a good place to sell. People find the items on google shopping, I think.

It's not a crazy idea, I've done it many times. It's also one of the reasons for using the same name on both sites and equalising feedback as far as possible i.e so that you are recognised even if the site isn't.
