Do sellers ever answer buyers questions?

Quite possibly but why not just remove the listings. I found it strange he answered the question as quickly as he did. I am one of those not prepared to put the work in but I don't leave my listings here nor should others who are not prepared to follow through with a sale. The work for me would be to make sure I don't get duplicate sales on 2 different sites.

I hope you reported it. They've only got 3 items for sale anyway. Then again, they are a seller+ so I don't think eBid would delete their account as they have paid for lifetime membership. Tough one this.

Clearly an active seller elsewhere and responding when he gets the email notice, but not prepared to actually use the site on a daily basis. Since it's free to list he appears to have decided to abuse the site by leaving up his advertisements unattended and just take sales elsewhere when he can. It's a no-lose situation for him, and a pain in the behind for us. I just keep hoping that eventually ebid management will see that this does more harm than is made up for by the inflation of listing numbers by leaving them there. If there were a magic formula for convincing them that real, live, active, quality listings matter more than just big numbers of half-dead dross... sigh.

My observations so far:

1. 3 identical listings (titles)
2. 1 listing displaying Ebay gallery with links to auctions.
3. Admits not selling on eBid any more but offering to sell off site.
4. Screwed up eBid html layout on all 3 listings.
5. Blatantly avoiding FVFs

Check out over 55,000 auctions & alot of neg feedback because he does not have the things he's selling all out of stock or he's been on holiday for 6months. Why is he still selling?

Agree, better to report to admin. straight off rather than start a thread about a problem seller.

To answer the question, as a seller I always try to answer buyer questions as soon as I'm aware of them, usually within 24 hours, unless I'm on holiday, in which case a holiday notice will be active in my stores and on my About Me page. I think this is only fair to buyers. Guess I've been lucky as a buyer, as sellers I've contacted have usually gotten back to me promptly as well.

Same experience, I answer my buyers questions as soon as possible, but theer are some people (not all) that I have contacted with a question and never had a reply. Buyers and sellers both.
