I agree with your statement Pink , but just think what it would be like with adds in some of the progs on the beeb...and I really hope moony is right about her licence ? would not like her to spend it all then finds sh needs it.....I think it is free at age 70...............papa.

You are correct...the licence is free at 70 but if you don't watch any TV when it is broadcast, then you don't need a licence whatever you're age.

I telephone TV Licencing, checked their website, emailed them and wrote with my paperwork.

They have written to confirm that I don't need a licence and refunded me the advance payments I had made on the next 6 months of licencing.


I guess that is enough info for me to know I don't need a licence.

The government fund the TV through the licence fee because the BBC is a government propaganda machine.

This is the main reason I didn't want to pay the fee to fund the British Brainwashing Corporation, so I found a way that round it.

I think it's free at age 70 cos most folks would be too blind to see it, too deaf to hear it and probably have too much dementia to follow it.
