OMG I'd completely forgotten about 'The Good Life,' I just loved it when they showed it on PBS some years ago. The actor who played the husband was also on 'As Time Goes By,' wasn't he? I can't think of his name but he's so funny, a really talented guy and of course Judi Dench is unbeatable in 'As Time Goes By,' it's one of my favorite comedies.

I still find it a bit strange at times as I spent the whole of my childhood as an ugly duckling and rarely had a nice thing said to me, I guess someone saw fit to change it all when i grew up lol I feel quite blessed really now as I still manage to scrub up well at my age so Im told, lol its whats inside that counts though.

So that's what a hookah is Trish! Never really knew. What's actually inside it? Waccy baccy of some sort? Glad you like the photos. The camera is a lovely little toy of mine it is a fujifilm finepix f31fd gorgeous little camera, came out in 2006 and won awards and was raved over for its revolutionary new technology, wont bore you with it all but it does a great job for sure as a pocket camera. Lots of professional photographers use it as back up

Wyo, awful sad news about the 27 car pile up - what a terrible thing to happen, the pictures must have been horrific.
Sal, I think the hookah is used to smoke tobacco, but the smoke passes through water to purify it, if I remember correctly.
I saw them in Turkey, but never had a go on one ..pity really ... lol!

In the bars and restaurants in Turkey they call them nargile pipes and smoke them with a flavoured tobacco in charcoal. Apparently they can be more harmful than cigarettes.

Give me a hooker over a hookah anyday.........lol

Ole JR told me he used a hookah when he was in the RAF, stationed in Madagascar, many moons ago, before he met me.
Trouble is - he doesn't smoke, never has .....
I wonder which one he meant ......
