The only way smaller companies topple big companies is by coming out with a new or better improved product. Like the way Apple has overtaken Microsoft.

It is never done just by having a cheaper version of the same old product
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else

The UK used to make millions of motorcycles. The Japanese came along and made them cheaper, bye bye British motorcycles. I am sure there are many examples where cheaper has eventually won. As for eBid and eBay, I think that it is not simply a price thing. The policies that eBid has are better for sellers.

Talking money I was reading the other day that Apple has $137 Billion - in cash. That is more than most countries have. The fact that companies like Apple and the rest have this cash makes it easier for them to keep at the top. If advertising is needed then a $10-$20 million campaign, no problem. A competitor, buy them out for $100 million or so. Now that they are at the top it is difficult to topple them, but not impossible, so come on eBid, lets go giant killing.
    Yep…but I think from the past…
Where ‘’none’’ of this has that kind of the money…
    No Apple...no Microsoft…no eBay…and so on….
I mean why always someone has courage and push to the end…and it is mostly from USA….
I mean even in this time in UK exist big money, big investors…
Why not contact these institutions’ and roll on…
Why waiting and compete with business in ‘’social’’ way and you have exactly that existing business in UK too…I mean investors or peoples who can push….

P.S. I need to go for my work…rain is in here…thanks for reply…’’kreative’s’’…

Why always ‘’must’’ that stuff comes from USA…?
I mean in UK exist very smart peoples too…why not try it and follow where the money is….
We may not have an online payment processor but we do have an online auction site. It's called EBID.
(Just in case you don't realise that Ebid is a UK based auction site.)

    Well…you’re right too…
And you’re looking from your own perspective…and that’s ok too…
But what I ask and mean with my writing is much more of that….very much….much more….
And anyway even In UK territory exist other ‘’things’’ who comes from outside and take over….
And THAT I mean and asking…
    Anyway thanks for your reply…

I'd definitely use an eBid payment system like that where it saves me money especially when the cost of stock increases all the time and the 20% VAT is killing profit margins.
They do, it is named pppay.com

Maybe ‘’rokins toys’’…thinking for about like Pay Pal in whole business and that mean Millions of customers all around and Millions of $ in profit….
I mean anyone around can start similar business or site…but I still think UK deserved like very advanced country in the whole world similar or even same big stuff like we have in USA…
One will be enough and one payment processor will be enough too…
In the end I just can’t get it how this can happened especially if long time ago that site and payment processor is just small and look now after many years spread around and even steal big business in UK from own home field and top of that not paying even UK tax…
