    Using pics that had already been sold was still 'plugging' in my opinion. Any one can reply to a post without using pics - their forum signature does the plugging for them.

    I thought this was a thread about art so don't see what the problem is ?!

    I like many different artists and styles but I really admire Stanhope Forbes work.

    One of my faves is Hablot Brown or "Phiz" the chap who illustrated the Dickens novels among others;
    I won't paste any photos just in case someone thinks I am trying to plug something
    But to be honest, I think he has probably sold all of his pictures..
