Getting Frustrated

Last night spent 3 hour trying to get oriented with selling on here. I listed 2 items which I was charged for, had them set up as fixed, good till sold.

Then I made my store.

Then I put the 2 items I listed in my store,

Then I went to bed.

Where'd they go? They're not listed, not sold and now my store is offline because there's nothing in it. They're not listed as ran either... I paid for a lifetime membership but for the listings I also paid for some of the extras cause it's only pocket change, Just threw away $0.15.

So can someone help explain what happened? Was it a glitch in the system that does that sometimes? Doesn't make any sense. It's like they never existed yet I was billed for them. In billing when I click on the link to the item I was billed for I get the following.

Hi, if you listed items with duplicate titles, or if you listed anything on the banned list, you might have had some problems that way.

There are some good resources available about the eBid regulations. I don't have any links handy right now but I'm sure someone will be along shortly with more help.

Perhaps you items fall into the following banned category. Its just a guess based on no real informaton.

First off, thank you all for your replies. It's appreciated!

And if I sound angry I'm not. I'm just frustrated and hoping I can make this work. I think this place is going to get really big really fast in the next 2-5 years (maybe sooner) and I'd like to be part of that.


I don't do readings or intangible products. I'm not looking to scam anyone by making ridiculous claims as far as my merchandise goes,


I'm trying to sell Athames (aka ritual knives). Knives are sold on the site and they're not on the banned list that I could find. I am hoping to add other ritual items & supplies.

As far as listing multiples of the same item, I had a fluer de lis design and the other was a brown wood handle,

I didn't claim that they were 'haunted' or had 'special powers'. The ONLY thing I could think of is that I offer consecration & cleansing instructions but those are not spells. The only purpose it serves is to prepare the item for ritual use... but to ban that seems a little Wiccan/Pagan unfriendly to me. It is the equivalent of banning instructions of how to care & use a rosary (another important religious tool).

I'm hoping that it was just a glitch or that someone could explain what I did wrong. I didn't receive any messages or notices. I don't mean to make a big deal about this, I just really want to make it work here. My ebay business is growing fast and I was thinking of trying to get those customers over here where I can save them money on their purchases & have a backup incase Ebay does another 'purge' and I become another undeserved casualty.

Guess I'll try listing them again without mentioning Cleansing & Consecration instructions and see if they disappear again.

Any other thought, tips, hints or suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, I was wondering if you were listing Athames, as those would fall into the knives category for eBid purposes.

Thank you, I didn't see that in the banned section. I was a little stressed out when I read it so I probably missed it.
