Agree with following shipping requirements internationally, and address that in my shipping policies. Never generalize requirements that are applicable in my case to others. International shipping regulations, requirements, and restrictions are extensive; so there is little need to add to their burden. I attempt to keep up with the requirements, and request that my buyers be familiar with their local limitations, prior to bidding or buying.

Perhaps later today, I will post requirements from the CN22 instructions plus images of the NEW CN22 form effective July 2013

If I read it correctly it is asking for

any one of the following items, Phone Number, or Fax Number, or Email address

    http://about.usps.com/forms/ps2976.pdf

"Please provide the telephone/fax number or email address of both the sender and addressee, as such information will facilitate customs clearance and delivery."

ok, is any of the information regarding phone number, fax number, or email on the eBid invoice?

Further, you only have the requested information regarding the paper form. The online forms for USPS Click-N-Ship, and Stamps.com, require both the phone number, and the eMail address.

Furthermore, as you read through the instructions, you will note that required information applies to all First Class Mail, Priority Mail, and Priority Express Mail.

The problem might be created by those here that do not use the forms to ship internationally, and postal employees who are not up to date on latest forms and instructions. My local post office still uses CN22 forms dated December 2009.

Moreover, the UPS and FedX also require phone numbers on their documents, when shipping from U.S. to international destinations. It is not just one carriers requirement - all U.S. carriers require that information.

I have been shipping internationally for many years & have used both the usps website & ebay to print my labels & have shipped 1st class & priority mail without ever having to input the phone number.
Guess I have just been lucky.

If buying from US sellers means that my phone number or email address has to be displayed on any package for anyone to see, that means that I will not be buying from US sellers in the future. I am tired of the USA thinking it owns the world.

    Hi Tony,
I was told by the postal service that a phone umber is only required if you were to have something shipped express mail only, I have never had to put a phone number when shipping 1st class or priority mail internationally.

Tony doesn't want his email address shown either.
