I noticed today that a buyer of mine has a line through his/her name. What does this mean, common sense tells me its not good and it was my first sell. The buyer has not payed for the item they won.

You've probably already found this answer as it's covered regylarly on the forums plus on the ebid help pages. Just in case i'll repeat it here. A score through a users name means their account is on hold. This could be for a number of reasons- including some which the user can fix quite quickly ( e.g invalid address or incomplete telephone number). My advice is issue your invoice direct to the buyers email address. If they don't respond, issue the reminders via ebid, leave appropriate feedback, reclaim your fees from ebid, and relist.
