eBid should be applauded for the quick way they change things to make life easier. They don't take the fees the other side take, even the 'big river' charges massive fees.

Once you've paid your lifetime fee on here you only pay minimal amounts even if you chose featured listings.

It would appear that most of the membership fees, outside ad fees etc., are poured back into improving the site, improvements that we as customers are asking for. If we ever got this sort of service on the other side it wouldn't be in the sorry state it's in now.

It's up to us to advertise the site and our own listings, it takes time but it's worth it in the end. The buyers are out there, you just need to work harder to get them to part with their money.

Good luck everyone, keep plugging, keep emailing links to your listings, keep spreading the eBid word. xxx

Couldn't agree more! I have found one of the best ways to advertise is to make use of specialist forums, there's often a special section for selling your stuff in, just post links to your items and eBid listings there.

You are both right on. another method that I use: I make my own shipping Frgile stickers and insert ebids logo on them. I have two different styles that I use. I was going to insert them here, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Hello America...with regard to my post #30 I notice no replies as to gas anyone ever phoned the postal Service there and asked them the cost to post from Place A to Place B ???...this would seem an easy thing to do until the calculator is ready....give the boys a chance....there are other things needing done that would seem to be more urgent....
I do not mean to up set anyone...but , come on...help your selves...phone and ask questions...someone said , how do I work out the cost if I do not know where it is going....ask the bidder....
so again sorry , no intention of offending , but ???....regards , Papa.

Gramma, i LIKE that idea of the eBid/Fragile stickers. Will try to make some of my own. I already had made some plain FRAGILE ones but the eBid red dot will get attention. Now if i can get some packages to ship.

EDIT: wouldn't have to say FRAGILE. Could also say This Side Up, or Thank You or maybe a return address, as i know the USPS doesn't like to have too many stickers on packages. All would have a semblance of an eBid logo on them of course.

Papagran40, no offense taken here. I realize there are more important tasks at hand including keeping the site up and running for everybody. Downtime is highly frustrating and offputting.
