Thread: Bargains I got from T*scos tonight!

  1. #1

Default Bargains I got from T*scos tonight!

    Can't believe it!

Don't know what was going on in our local T*sco - but I bought the following:
I bag of Cornish baking potatoes - £2.38
    I bag of little oranges - £1.99
3 bouquets of flowers (1 for me and 2 for mum)
    priced at £2.99
    £4.99
and £9.99 (Finest) would have cost 22.34

    but I paid 55p!!

They were all marked down to 11p an item! Crazy! But the flowers look really good on my fireplace!! Some of the flowers will no doubt be featuring in some cards in my store soon!

    Don't mention T*sco's to me.
I applied for a part time job late last night and first thing this morning there was an email saying I had been rejected, Obviously the computer was having a bad day and took it out on me.

My fave line from the T*sco's computer was
We are sorry to say that you did not
demonstrate the competencies to the standard that was required.

    Nice

Arr - sorry to hear that! Don't give up though - it does help if you know someone there who can recommend you to the department manager etc - my hubby works in stock control and that is how he got the job.

Yeah - so going back to post No. 1 - I actually paid 50p for that lot as T*scos gave us 10% off our shopping too.

Hope you get the job soon marmalade!

I have had similar experiences when applying for part time jobs - either too old or over qualified most of the time. Many employers forget about the age = loyalty = experience thing and only seem to want youngsters who will leave after 5 minutes.

I was going to apply for a job at the local Pole Dancing club for £10 an hour, trouble was I could only afford to pay them a fiver. PMSL

I only go in Tesc* if it's the only shop around, or I will buy petrol there if they are selling at a loss £1.17.9 the other day.
